Grounded in the primacy of the idea, the work approaches emerging technologies, including AI-assisted image generation, as both material and interlocutor in the creative process.

Each work begins with an image directed by the artist and developed through successive iterations, not as a final destination, but as a field of possibility. In a select few works, the immediacy of the generated image is preserved; in most, it serves as the foundation for an extensive process of transformation. Throughout, technology remains in service to the idea, while human intention, discernment, and craftsmanship guide the work toward its final form.

Working entirely by hand in Photoshop, the artist builds, erodes, subtracts, revises, and reimagines a select image. A single work may require 30 or more hours of labor and incorporate thousands of individually placed brush marks. Through this deliberate, hands-on process, the image moves beyond its technological origins, becoming slower, more tactile, and distinctly human.

Each work occupies a space between technological possibility and purposeful creation, the algorithmic and the intuitive, the generated and the handmade.
